The experience of my dieting session is such that I would hardly voluntarily recall this means of self-torture. Except for a "but": I have personally seen the results of two weeks of sitting on a "Japanese" diet. Just like in the magazine: "before" and "after". However, the principle in matters of beauty and health works perhaps best.

Why the diet is called Japanese is hard to say: half of the foods recommended to eat are exotic for the Japanese. According to legend, the diet was developed by specialists from the Japanese clinic "Yaeks", but no further traces of this office were found on the Internet in English.

Lyrically sentimental digression

I must say that I admire the courage of people who can hear the slimming recipe found on the net and immediately try it on themselves. I myself distrust diets. Life has brought me with them twice.

For the first time - in a severe form, when in the mountains I caught some kind of stomach infection and for three weeks at an altitude of 3000 meters, I simply could not eat: everything immediately asked to return. The second time was when I decided to limit my diet to 1000 calories per day. For nearly a month my diet consisted of morning coffee with ice cream, handy for lunch, and frozen vegetables for dinner. I learned that the diet should be balanced much later.

So the first question I asked myself was: how balanced is the Japanese diet? "More or less, but there aren't enough amino acids, " replied a biochemist friend, "you'll be spiteful - horror with a gun. "His fears of my hypothetical greater malice did not materialize. For the first two days, the body was suppressed by the sudden disappearance of normal food from his life. And realizing that this was for a long time, but not forever, he became silent and indifferent.

Charm and disappointment

As with every experiment on myself, I have amassed a list of spells and delusions. Or rather, the discomfort and pleasure of the diet.

Inconvenience n. 1

The diet is strict. Because, according to its authors, it is designed to modify the metabolism. Therefore, the slightest deviation from the course (even a crouton, even an apple) - and the expected effect is not guaranteed. And this is what is expected: to separate from 5 - 8 kilograms and stabilize the weight in the future.

Inconvenience n. 2

It is very difficult to come to a business lunch and ask me coquettishly, please, two boiled eggs and 200 grams of grated carrots. Usually such requests remain unsatisfied. Therefore, you will need to carry all the provisions in your bag with you. And, most likely, prepare diet meals the day before.

Pleasant number 1

13 days of Japanese diet will cost you about 2 times less than the daily business lunch or business lunch. And even more - the purchase of food for the home.

Pleasant number 2

In general, it is best not to start a strict diet if at least half of the foods in it are unpleasant to you. And since I eat with great enthusiasm in "normal life" and fish, boiled beef, carrots, kefir and cabbage, then seeing them on my table was, frankly, joyful.

Many people ask questions about drinking coffee every morning: isn't it harmful? If you have heart problems or high blood pressure, coffee can have a negative effect. And before starting a Japanese diet, it is worth consulting with your doctor.

A full range of sensations

In the first two days of the diet, a vision haunted me: as soon as I closed my eyes, a thinly cooked pancake appeared before my inner gaze, spontaneously rolling into a tube. Then someone kindly dipped it in strawberry jam and brought it to my face. There were no olfactory hallucinations. After chasing me for two days, the pancake fell behind.

A stony indifference and a calm attitude to culinary delights have lasted to this day. This does not mean that I will strongly refuse if I am offered to try something tasty. But the nervous tremors of "there's so much food over there" are no longer observed.

I haven't lost much, only 4 pounds, but the weight isn't regaining. I don't know who to thank for this: the developers of the Japanese diet or myself - for doing sports twice a week. The only detail: during the diet, you noticeably weaken, and towards the end it becomes problematic to open a closed bottle of mineral water. But then the strength is quickly restored.
